Sleep Apnea Dentists Attend AADSM, AASM Meeting Next Week
Sleep physicians and dentist converge on San Antonio for an anuual meeting of the minds.
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX, May 28, 2010 /Texas PR News/ -- On June 4th, dentists from all over the county and even internationally, will converge on San Antonio for the 19th annual meeting of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (AADSM). The AADSM is an organization that promotes the treatment of sleep-related breathing disorders such as sleep apnea, through the use of oral appliances and upper airway surgery.
The meeting is a scientific program that features presentation from dentists, physicians, researchers and other professionals in the sleep medicine arena. The meeting will also feature educational courses that will teach dentists of all experience levels in dental sleep medicine. The keynote speaker is Dr. Allan Pack, a well-renowned expert in sleep apnea research and treatment.

The AADSM is associated with the American Academy of Sleep Medicine which is an organization comprised of physicians as well as dentists. There will be several events co-sponsored by the two organizations that will be "meetings of the minds" between the AADSM and the AASM.

The AADSM meeting runs through June 6 in the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center.
