Lanner Group Welcomes Arrival of New VP Global Products Simon Hallam

Simulation modeling specialist Lanner Group has welcomed the arrival of VP Global Products Simon Hallam, from Avery Weigh-Tronis. Mr Hallam will initially focus on supporting the firm's continuing international expansion activities.

    HOUSTON, TX, November 23, 2010 /Texas PR News/ -- Simon Hallam, previously Head of Global Software Solutions at Avery Weigh-Tronix, has joined Business Process Improvement and simulation modeling software specialist Lanner Group as its Vice President, Global Products.

In his new role, Simon will be responsible for the full life cycle of existing and new products, sector applications and the development of channels to support Lanner Group's continuing expansion in its chosen markets across the world.

Simon joined Avery Weigh-Tronix from Geac (Infor Global Solutions), where he was Head of Product Management, Service Solutions. Simon brings to Lanner Group deep experience in devising and executing strategies in the development of Go-to-Market strategies for software applications servicing a competitive business-to-business environment.

His 20+ years of global experience in presales, process, and product management as a strategist, marketeer and technologist give him a well-seasoned perspective which perfectly complements Lanner Group's needs as a growing company with market presences throughout North and South America, Asia and Europe.

Prior to Geac, Simon was SAP Product Director at Proceed Product Solutions, where he steered the company's products to market in Europe and North America. Before joining Proceed in 2002, he held positions with pioneering e-commerce company Commerce One (now part of Perfect Commerce), JBA International, SSI Service Software, Bluebird Software, and PA Consulting Group. Simon holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Hertfordshire, United Kingdom.
