Houston's Casa Ole Restaurants Made Tuesdays Matter for The Rose Sale of Mexican Food Favorites Provides $26,829 Donation for Breast Care Nonprofit

Thirteen local Casa Ole restaurants put tacos, tamales and tortillas to work in the fight against breast cancer and raised $26,829 for The Rose, Houston's leading non-profit breast care organization.

    HOUSTON, TX December 10, 2010 /Texas PR News/ -- Thirteen local Casa Ole restaurants put tacos, tamales and tortillas to work in the fight against breast cancer and raised $26,829 for The Rose, Houston's leading non-profit breast care organization. This is the fifth year that the restaurant chain has donated to the cause, bringing their total to an astonishing $126,995.36.

"It is an honor for Casa Ole' to support The Rose," said Lou Porry, Casa Ole' Chief Operating Officer. "The Rose is meaningful in so many ways but perhaps the most important aspect is the awareness they raise by encouraging others to take charge of their own health. The Rose is providing a tremendous service to thousands of women and their families by providing the tools needed to educate others in a positive and effective way."

This generous gift is slated to help The Rose meet an increasing demand for services for uninsured working women. "In this time of economic uncertainty, Houston area women need The Rose more than ever," said Dorothy Weston Gibbons, CEO and Co-founder of The Rose. "Casa Ole continues to make a tremendous impact on the women we serve. This partnership will definitely save lives!"
