Richmond, VA Dentist Extols Importance of Community
Dr. Charles Martin has made a name for himself as dental practice consultant in addition to being a dentist. Now, he encourages dentists to give back to their communities.
RICHMOND, VA, May 28, 2011 /Texas PR News/ -- Dr. Charles Martin has made a name for himself as dental practice consultant in addition to being a dentist. Every week, he releases a numerous blog posts about dental health for his patients, and at least one web video targeted to other dental practices. His slogan for his consulting firm, Martin Manage, is "Practice Like a Pro & Make More Dough!"
This week, however, Dr. Martin turned the focus of his video presentation inward. He encouraged his fellow dentists to work on building the best practice possible to support their families, but then went further to discuss the importance of how a dental practice can give back to the communities.
In a segment that took up almost half of his weekly show, Dr. Martin encouraged dentists to build a great practice so that they can enjoy a good life. But, he reminded them, owning a business comes with a responsibility to give back to the community. Dr. Martin believes that investing the community is a natural extension of the main reason one becomes a dentist in the first place: to help people. Furthermore, Dr. Martin says, communities look to professionals like dentists to be leaders, whether it's to organize charity events or coach a little league team.
The key, he says, is "...to just pick an area and start, no matter how small."
