Houston TX Says "No Bully Here" on September 30, 2011

Houston Black Firefighters Association, Houston Independent School District, Community in Schools and www.NoBullyHere.com has come together in support of the "No Bully Here Day" on September 30th 2011.

    HOUSTON, TX, September 28, 2011 /Texas PR News/ -- Houston Black Firefighters Association, Houston Independent School District, Communities in Schools of Houston and www.NoBullyHere.com has come together in support of the "No Bully Here Day" on September 30th 2011. State representative Garnet Coleman and Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee both proclaimed the No Bully Here Day for their districts. Along with the city's of Miami and Baton Rouge, state of Arizona, Alabama, Nebraska, Missouri, Tennessee, Illinois and other states have all proclaimed September 30th 2011 as "No Bully Here Day".

The "No Bully Here" campaign is design to promote awareness against all forms of bullying. The campaign objective is to connect all people, ideas, lifestyles and religious beliefs together for one purpose: unity.

The mission for the "No Bully Here" campaign is to implement one day that will be celebrated as a day of unity and friendship amongst the students, staff and community. Our campaign partners will visit local schools in the city of Houston and promote the guidelines of the campaign at each school. All speakers will explain from their own experiences how being a positive person can help you achieve your goals versus being negative.

Listed are the guidelines for the No Bully Here day: (1)Dedicate the entire day to being positive, (2)A day of saying no to peer pressure, (3)A day of no profanity, (4)A day of no violence, (5)A day of identifying cultural similarities, (6)A day of respecting your fellow citizen and their life style, (7)A day of respecting others religious beliefs, ideas, race and ethnicity, (8)A day of respecting your employees, co workers and management, (9)A day of respecting your class mates, teachers and administrators and A day of no hate.

The No Bully Here network started in the fall of 2010. The network is a cyber bully free website with zero tolerance for bullying. The network was created so that people would have a place to share ideas and solutions for bullying. The slogan for the network is "Let's Talk about It".
