Celebrity Casino Night Empowers Disadvantaged Women To Succeed In Work And Life
Celebrity Casino Night, Friday, 11.11.11.The annual fundraiser, hosted by Dress for Success Dallas, will take place at Zouk, Dallas' hottest Downtown venue.
DALLAS, TX, November 02, 2011 /Texas PR News/ -- Dress for Success Dallas to host 2nd Annual Celebrity Casino Night ,Charity Event, Friday, November 11, 2011, 6:30 PM at Zouk, 703 McKinney Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75202. Advanced ticket price $35, $45 the day of the event. Proceeds will be used to benefit Dress for Success Dallas, a non-profit organization promoting the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, support and the career development tools to thrive in work and life.
Test Lady Luck as you play alongside local and nationally recognized celebrities at this Vegas-style casino night themed, Lucky Lonestar 11.11.11. The evening will be carried out with feature casino games, silent auction and raffle, music, hors d'oeuvres and more! Organizers also invite silent players to purchase tickets to support the foundation even if they are unable to attend. All proceeds will benefit Dress for Success Dallas programs, which help women transition towards self-sufficiency by addressing their social and economic needs in relation to work, home and community.

Founded in New York City in 1997, Dress for Success is an international not-for-profit organization offering services designed to help our clients find jobs and remain employed. The Dress for Success Dallas affiliate is one of over 110 affiliations worldwide. Since opening in May 2006, Dress for Success Dallas has helped over 1000 women. Dress for Success provides each woman with one suite and accessories when she has a job interview. Once she successfully lands the job, she returns to Dress for Success for additional business-appropriate separates that will help her build a week's worth of professional wardrobe.

Dress for Success serves job-ready women by referral only from a range of non-profit organizations including domestic violence agencies, homeless shelters and job-training programs otherwise known as partner agencies. Programs such as the invitation only networking association- Professional Women's Group, career training and mentoring center, and the Going Places Network by Walmart encourage employment retention and career development by providing a safe environment for members to build professional skills and become more self-aware through structured feedback and support.
"Women DO want to see other women succeed!" stated Nida, "I felt empowered to ask questions and not be intimidated in an office setting." Dress for Success client Audry Nida accepted her first office position as an Administrative Assistant in early October 2011; Ms. Nida signed with the Professional Women's Group and plans to continue as an active client of Dress for Success Dallas.
